The most telling part of this story is that it regularly makes the rounds in Christian circles. Because only individuals completely clueless of physics and science would believe that it is reasonably valid and potentially true.

Btw, same goes for the infamous - and repeated as true from the highest podiums by preachers and who not - story about voices recorded from hell at Kola Super Deep drilling station.
It was a hoax created by some 3rd grade Finland magazine, that caught online. Ever since it became a staple for many.
I actually personally emailed Kola Super Deep drilling station and they told me just that - never happened.

I posted that one when I was on Facebook. It wasn't a staple for me - i was told it was wrong once, and i learned from it. Do you think people deliberately try to wind you up?
If lots of people believe something, it's probably true.
