p.s. You seem to think Muslims aren't capable of assimilating into our culture. Of course they are! They go to school, they own homes, they have jobs. Some work in stores, some are in the tech industry, some are doctors. They shop at Walmart and everything!
The Hmong also clustered together in some cities and formed the most viscious gangs our country has ever known. Does that mean we should not have let any in? No. Does that mean we should done a better job vetting them and/or kicked their cans to the curb if they turned out to be a bad choice?

Not sure. It is hard to see how appropriate vetting or kicking can be done while maintaining due process.

The severest restrictions on outsiders was instituted by the Lord himself for the nation of Israel who was to strictly remain pure and have nothing to do with Gentiles. They were not allowed to even walk thru a Gentile village, unclean for a week and a sin offering required if you did. Any village of any size had gates manned by the priests who maintained the "books" of that city......you were in the books or you weren't. In the old days of Israel the early Christians were the first to be blotted out of the books, a severe penalty and made you subject to the roman soldiers.

Political correctness was never a part of the old world......and it's killing the USA today

They admitted folks who WANTED TO BE AMERICANS and forget their past lives elsewhere. Such is not the case today with those bringing their own flags and ideals from the motherland and wish to change the USA into their old haunts.

Wake up USA we have always had those who who despise our way of life and have fully demonstrated they would like to eliminate ALL of us..........do you really think any of them would have made it thru Ellis Island?

This matter is not for the church to decide but a government who is tasked with protecting its citizens.
Let me suggest you go find out what it takes to be classified as a "refugee." It has nothing to do with opening our country up to anybody that wants in. There are very specific criteria that must be met.

God also destroyed many cultures and societies simply because they angered God over triffeling stuff and God went nuclear with the vengengence.

Shouldn't we really start to wonder why those ancient misfits wrote such unflattering lies about God?

Is that where Christianism got the ideology of the book of life?
If you are not like us, we will scratch your name from the book!

I view the Popes line of reasoning and that of the West's in general as no more different than the long line of predominately white nations smashing other nations. It is perfectly pagan ancient Rome to smash another country and invite in some of its people to Rome to Romanize. Ancient Rome also used its military, to train other nations militaries, as a way of Romanizing other foreign peoples. The United States does this exact thing around the globe. That is why the Philippines Marine Corps Force Recon resembles so closely that of the United States Marine Corps Force Recon.

Unlike the Pope I started at the beginning. The beginning being whether or not to help destroy a nation and cause a refugee crisis to begin with. Moderator cut: This isn't the Politics forum. they explicitly stated they seek to remove Shia/Shiite religious people from power in Syria and replace them with Sunni religious people. The Sunni they pointed out make up ISIS. Also, Saudi Arabia is ruled by Sunni.

Aside from Moderator cut: ... This isn't the Politics forum. Promoting one religious stream of Islam over another religious stream of Islam.

Refugees being brought in is a nice thing. Like a Robber Baron that gives out free hot coffee and loaves of bread to the poor. And the Robber Baron looks like a nice guy. But here is the greater justice: helping provide conditions so the greater masses (that includes in Syria) can prosper. Rather than rely on your charity paternalistically.

Moderator cut: This isn't the Politics forum. advancing medical technology there, battling diseases and improving schools.

. Moderator cut: This isn't the Politics forum. No, I don't care if the Pope poses for photo ops kissing little children or has "nice" words for any future proposed naked gay parades.

The United States makes itself a target when it is constantly trolling the entire planet earth--minus its former colonial friends the Western European powers which it leaves to govern themselves and by their own "values"--in pursuit of giving temporary reprieve to its own insatiable lusts for power and absolute greed.

It does not matter what religious background the refugee is, if anyone commits act of violence or/and hate in a detention center they should loose the right of residence.

I have almost daily contact with Muslims, and I do get on fine with the Muslims I know. However I find the more devout ones can be a bit strange. But it is a free country and people are free to practice any religion they want.

Anyway the conditions of migrants who settle here should integrate.

So you admit indirectly that as long as one has certain religious tendencies there are specific criteria that must be met for what it takes to be classified as a "Christian" according to Pope Francis?
Pope Francis: You cannot reject refugees and call yourself a Christian

So did the Irish when they were discriminated against for being Irish.
So did the Chinese when they were discriminated for being Chinese.
So did the Puerto Ricans when they were discriminated against for being Puerto Ricans.
