I believe what Mr. Montoya means is, yes, it is nice that people with common beliefs can come discuss those beliefs without being harassed. Very nice indeed.
I agree, it's fun to debate sometimes, but then there are those times you want to have a discussion/fellowship without the debate.

Even though I don't like the debating, discussion is fine , we are supposed to be on one accord.
The value comes from the point that diety is assumed. We don't have to waste time and effort on trolls about "you can't prove God." If we want to keep it that way just report them. Otherwise a forum ABOUT "Christianity" has its own value. Where else do you see a forum that is not about "no questioning traditional Christianity" or "Our perception is sacrosanct?"
I have found in my long life that those that are most faithful, most devoted to God, have no problem debating their faith. I would think those seeking sanctuary would do better with a website devoted to their particular variety of Christianity.
I could suggest just humming loudly like my husband does, since he is unable to justify his beliefs or debate against historical data that calls them into question. Or go the way my brother does when I talk with him, simply just don't engage.
