they were just examples of a very false kinds of faith in themselves.. there are other kinds of false faith in other thinsg which men and demons pretend are God..including all kinds incantations in God 's name but were not by his working or his spirit or his direction..
Not every faith is faith in God and his promises to us and through us.
and that has nothng to do with you.. I am disputing the concept that faith is faith..
faith in God that does what God is doing and at his direction and his discretion and it then works by his power ( not ours) is real faith " IN GOD WE TRUST(ED)" ..

just look at their lives.. enough said.
we are told to judge that.. I sure don't want to eat from their faith trees.. Now Jesus as man's tree his fruit was good.. is good and it is life. and no one else's compares to His faith !! I will Follow it alone!!
lady before being filled with the right arm of God( at his baptism ) he changed water into wine.. on sheer faith.. NO One compares!
a close second is Elijah and John the Baptist and Moses . But no one compares to his acts of sheer faith in his Father to answer his prayers.
when ellen and Oprah change water into wine or any such acts done by these men I have mentioned.. .. you can call me judgemental then! and only then! . besides we are told to judge such things.

Faith is not believing, it's knowing the love of God.

close enough that I can agree..
now can you define LOVE as you think God defines it and see if I can agree!.
and define "knowing" and see if I can still agree.
and yes even Satan "believes" in God because he has seen HIM/ Them, but his followers sure don't because they have never seen what they think God is .. thus as they define God to be..
yet his hands and his fingerprints are all over them..
so our definitions and His definitions are everything in this conversation . He gave us a Bible to help us sort out and pray out.. the many differences between our definitions and his definitions ..

A separate thread can be started on the rich, however, please.
Faith
I believe it is far than the works of our hands to be remembered as a memorial built of wood and stone and what ever sort of material to glamorous means of decadence. Look at the Egyptians and think about how that kingdom is left over as an insult to the landscape.
Everyone these days know how such memorial was built.
With the blood and sweat of the oppressed.

Faith and wisdom hand in hand is arrayed like the Lily in the spirit of knowledge and understanding.

Blessed are the poor."

I just do not get how this has any baring on the topic, pinacled.
i actually might walk away from my own thread...and let it be a free for all.

Talk on about the rich and the oppressed and Egyptian tombs and celebrities, guys.
Take care...no problem...just moving on...merrily down the stream.

They ramble, it's like following rabbit trails through the mountains thick with vegetation.
And very convoluted, most of the time it ONLY makes sense to them.
