The thief on the cross ACTED on his commitment by explaining the situation to the other thief.

You can leave out love if you so desire but it is not merely faith that saves, it's that of loving one-another.

Mr. Jarber missed that altogether.

That was a commitment

No, he was not saved by rebuking the other thief, he was saved by his faith. No one is saved by their own actions.

No one is saved by their works.

Besides, who said anything about leaving something out? No need to put words into other peoples mouths.

There is no greater remembrance than that of love, but for some reason you find it difficult to understand.

Where do you get the idea you are saved by your works?

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, lest any man should boast."

I never said anything about works, but if you believe loving resembles that of work so be it.
If that is the case, then mustering up enough faith to believe would also be considered as works.

Word games?

No answer?

Where do you get the idea you are saved by anything you do?

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works, lest any man should boast."

Love typically manifests itself in actions (it is the motivator of actions), but I guess you can just 'love' and not manifest it in any way, and just keep it to yourself. In that sense it is a feeling, even if it bares no fruit. Its like a schoolboy who is in love with a girl, but she doesn't know it because he is too shy to bring it up, or do anything about it.
