Amen. Jesus warned so many times about not letting fear get a foothold. Fear and Love do not mix. Fear is the enemy of faith. We are told to walk by faith, not by sight which implies having absolute trust in the goodness of God. With such faith, God is pleased. Fear has torment and has to do with punishment. Those who fear are not made perfect in God's love.
Fear is the beginning of wisdom. If one is fearful, they probably have good reason to be so. If you want to be "perfect", sell your belongs and give the proceeds to the poor (Matthew 19:21).
New American Standard Bible Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Fear of the lord is the beginning of fundamentalism and the root of its wrongness.

Oh, i see, it is just a word game...
Fear of the Lord can be defined as “the continual awareness that our loving heavenly Father is watching and evaluating everything we think, say, and do”

Evaluating? Seeing,hearing, feeling...yes.
What's to evaluate? He knows what we are doing before we do it...He knows us better
than we do ourselves !
To evaluate: assess, rate, analyze, judge, examine....what's to examine or rate...He knows everything instantly? If my hair is blonde...it is self evident, see? No evaluation needed, that's what I mean.
I know I'm splitting hairs...I don't agree with that word.
And most here know I don't agree with words like 'judgment and punishment', either.

Fear of the LORD is as is the summation of the Law. As you do to others, so shall be done to you. If you go out and kidnap, rape, and kill your neighbor, you will not only be looking over your shoulder for Johnny Law, but the judgment of God. You have real reason to fear, and hopefully, you will not sleep well. No one escapes justice, and the temple of God is built on "a tested stone", with "justice as the measuring line" and "righteousness the level". The followers of Paul think they have a new "covenant with death", which protects them from death and justice (Isaiah 28:18), but they will be sorely disappointed, as that "pact with Sheol shall not stand" (Isaiah 28:18).
Judgment day is approaching, and the words of the false prophet espousing peace, safety, and protection from death, will not protect his followers. Any tree not producing good fruit, will be cut down and thrown into the fire (Matthew 3:10).
Fear God, and you will fear no man. If you do not fear God, you will fear the fundamentalist, and every creak in the night.
