I think there has been an all out assault and sabotage on Lewis' writing. I do not believe for 1 minute he was saying what the fundamentalists have conjured up from his writings.
Any enemy of humanity is an enemy of God, according to the Bible.
The Bible says no such thing. Rather, Jesus said that friendship with the world is enmity with God, and anyone who wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
James 4:4 You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

C.S. Lewis, in his book Mere Christianity describes this world as “enemy territory” (Satan’s domain) for believers and further states that when we go to church, read our Bible, pray and meditate on God, we are receiving secret messages from our Commander (God).
What say you?
I do not understand the whole enemies thing. I have no enemies. I am an enemy to no one.
Differences of opinion and beliefs are not fatal. There is no reason to believe you, or anyone else is my enemy.

That means befriending the ways and thoughts of the world that are not of God, especially the world that bears any resemblence to the religious world that opposed him on every turn.
You fundamentalists are always believing it is outside of you, it's always someone's elses fault but your own. and that you are literally separated from the whole like you are the sheep and the rest are goats. CS Lewis was not coming from that position.

No one said that (bolded above). Don’t put words in my mouth.
And I’m not a fundamentalist-I’m just a Christian, a follower of Christ. Knock it off with the name-calling. Let’s just have an adult conversation.

You keep referring to an enemy outside of you, a classic fundamentalist trait. Jesus never viewed anyone to be an enemy of his. Knock it off calling everyone an enemy who is not of the same belief as you.
