How does the whole UFO (ET) thing effect your faith (if at all)?
It doesn't affect my faith at all. Although we have yet to detect life on other planets, the universe is a big place and there could certainly be intelligent life elsewhere. Most scientists don't believe that earth has been visited by aliens however. But if some alien race or races have managed to come to earth, then they have.
Not at all. However, if one is a literalist I could see how it would rock one's world. I mean, those guys freak out over the concept of evolution. I can't imagine what they'd do if the mother ship landed on the National Mall.

I'm trying to believe in Christ - there are a lot of difficulties in my life recently that have made it difficult, but I guess I still consider myself a "believer".
What else am I going to hold on to when my life has crumbled to the ground?
And I was just wondering how the ET thing challenges it (if at all).

Let's pose something...would Jesus Christ mean less to anyone...say, if there
were other civilizations with 4 eyes on other planets (in other dimensions even?)
and he dropped by on their planet to help them, too?
Or, might they think any less of him to find out he came to this teeny primitive planet?
Should it shake their faith?

Are you post hostile because you feel you are not being heard? If so, just because someone doesn't adopt your/my way of thinking doesn't mean they didn't hear you.
My post may appear hostile at times as well but it's because I abhor information censoring, which is exactly what has happened with the whole UFO phenom.
