I'm curious as to what denomination or religious affiliation did you
leave to join Christ?
And please feel free to explain why
For those who want to remain anonymous I understand
Not intended to put those at risk, who are in countries that are anti-christian
The last option in the poll is "Other", and
None of the above
I wasn't able to change this once I posted the thread
Thanks
God Bless You

Hallelujah!!

I heard the gospel as a toddler, then moved in with my stepdad at the age of 3. He was an alcoholic and had an unclean spirit (porn, etc.) I went into my teenage years with rebellion and got into drugs, but there was something that never left me - the gospel. As I reached my latter teen years, He would whisper to me as I was stoned.

(Yes parents, He can do anything.)

"I love you" would bring tears to my eyes, and I found myself contemplating Calvary even as I used drugs; I knew my time was coming. After he used a relationship to crush my heart, I hit my knees and asked Him in. Everything - and there was a lot - was confessed and healed. The desires left me.

I consider my testimony when I see those that may be seen as out of His reach. No one is.

Wow LE. I had that same sense of 'something was coming'.In fact, I remember thinking that I needed to smoke up my 'special stash' so it wouldn't go to waste

I sampled with some of everything, in search for answers and for love;
Tried to figure what made life as it was tick, "what made the world go around who what why, (So sad I was)
My grandma taught me how to recite scriptures at about 4 years old;
And they stuck with me along with her prayers;
Thank you Lord for grandma, she passed at the age of 90 something..
but left a legacy, of a gentle, caring, loving, kind and patient spirit,
Her actions spoke volumes, much louder than her few words....
After years of rebelling because of my broken life, and the mere fact that I loved my sinning and happened to be very good at it. (my motto was, whatever you do, be the best that you can be at it)
and I was...
After the Lord allowed the "Big Smackdown" in my life,
I had no doubt, who was really running this show.. and it was none of my little gods either
they could not help me when I needed them the most....
So ................years later here I am, Blessed and Highly favored by God
Thanks to those who have given their testimonials

We grew up all going to church. We were Presby during the school year and then went to a summer home where we were Methodist. For years we went to Christian summer camps, went to youth fellowship and Sunday School. My parents were very conservative. They didn't drink, smoke or cuss. Pretty quiet home life..LOL
The amazing thing was that none of us were Christians. We all thought we were since we were pretty good folk. But my parents went to a week end get away (in their 50's)and walked in on a presentation of the gospel...God's design for sure! They gave their lives to Christ and started reading the Bible (I doubt they could have told you before where we kept a Bible in the house) prayed together and the three of us kids thought they were off the deep end. Gosh things of God were for Sunday mornings. A few months later there was a speaker at my university, Andre Kole, who was with Campus Crusade for Christ. They took me to that meeting and I gave my life to Christ in the fall of '71. My next older brother gave his life to Christ at about the age of 39 and my oldest brother still is not a believer.
God works in his own way and in his own timing.
Isn't God good

You don't turn from Judaism to believe in Jesus.

Messiniac Judaism is a denomination within Judaism.
