Well I don't celebrate Christmas however, I do celebrate the winter solstice on December 21 of each year, it is the shortest day of the year for sunlight and it is the beginning of new life, because each day afterwards gets longer.

Ah! yes, what a better example of the true christian spirit than the greed, gluttony and excesses of the christmas season.

EXACTLY...you would logically think Christians would be doing all they could to disassociate themselves with this pagan holiday of excess...but they fight tooth and nail to have it done their way...go figure.

Not a Christian, and I use it as an excuse to sing silly songs, decorate with lights and have an extended stay with family I dont always get to see. And yes to eat great food. If that is excessive, so be it!!!!

No as a Native American I celebrate within my sacred circle, I lite the sacred fire in the center of the circle and offer a prayer to the Creator, giving thanks for the beginning of new life.

That sounds nice ptsum...and like a long held family tradition...those things are really lacking these days.

Well you can take the negative if you like but I like to look at all the good done during the season. Billions are raised by charities and billions are given to needy people.

Default "intent"

In God's eyes...it's the good intention from the heart that counts. In anything we do out of Love of God and neighbor, is good!

Just imagine our earth peopled by those who truly love...
GOD saw that it was good...Paradise indeed!
