Whoa! I knew houses were expensive on LI, but man!
Okay, I guess it's not doable.

And speaking of the outrageous cost of living in NYC:

This place is a toilet for everyone but the rich

Very comfortable referred to the fact that it is the only place I have known. Definitely not comfortable how I am living. Guess I wasn't clear. The cost of living is making me actually consider leaving, the one time inheritence giving the ability to buy something elsewhere instead of just making it in LI.

Comfortable
1 a: affording or enjoying contentment and security <a comfortable income> b : affording or enjoying physical comfort <a comfortable chair> <was too comfortable to move>
2 a : free from vexation or doubt <comfortable assumptions> b : free from stress or tension <a comfortable routine>
Guys, TO meant definition two, as in he is used to where he grew up and knows it well. You all assumed he meant definition one.

Yeah, I automatically jumped to the conclusion that he was speaking from an ecconomic aspect. I can fully understand someone being able to live out a comfortable life in an insanely expensive area if that is where they grew up and what they know. However, in the current economic situation, that is becoming increasingly more difficult for us middle-class, "Average Joes."
