Lol, no. I could spend a lot of time making a post, but that's just an out of whack statement. Hoboken is a nice town, but to think it has more to offer in it's one square mile than all of Buckhead is just nonsense.
Agreed. Some of these claims have become beyond ridiculous.

maybe you should re-read he said any "1" square mile. Though I would also say there are areas in buckhead that match up well and some that do not.

My favorite so far has been calling Hoboken suburban, also that it does not afford urban living, but agree there have been many idiotic claims here. For the record I think Waronxmas has been pretty fair

He always is, and he happens to live in Buckhead. He could write chapters on it if he was so inclined.

I have no problems with my reading. Hoboken has exactly 1.3 square miles of land. I find it hard to believe that the remaining .3 miles is super spectacular in some way unbeknown to us.
You need to check your numbers. That 129k figure is for THE CBD, not all of Atlantas CBD areas. Buckheads daytime pop is almost exactly the same. The City of Atlanta swells by about 500,000 on a typical weekday. Pretty misleading way to make your point, unless that was a typo.
And NYC's CBD's really dwarf anything in the entire South much less Atlanta? Really?
How shocking.
Yes it does. It isn't shocking.
It isn't misleading.

And I also agree that buckhead offers city living and things that Hoboken does not and vice-versa, they developed completely differently.
Really the point of this is that Hoboken in terms of offering urban/city life can actually be compared to an area much associated with being a vibrant place in a major city and would have more similarities, not necessarily the exact consrtuct but affording this lifestyle as a the particular city offers.
I actually would have preferred Midtown ATL as the comparison but felt less people may be familiar, though in my opinion and again opinion I prefer these days to Buckhead

I had thought someone referenced Buckhead being 40 sq miles earlier
Its about 80 square miles depending on who you ask. All of "Buckhead" takes up about 2/3 of the land area of the City of Atlanta, but only accounts for 1/5 of the population. Don't let all that space fool you though. There are several high density areas filled with high and midrise condos, and there are probably three times as many attached townhouses than mansions. It's funny though that if you removed Buckhead from the City of Atlanta, then it would surpass that magical 10,000 ppsm that the density fetishists always go on about. LOL
And before anyone comes in saying "no, that's wrong!", prepare to have your mind blown:
The only thing that changed between 1950 and 1960 was that Buckhead (and a few neighborhoods on the west and south side) was annexed by the City of Atlanta.
it was this
