Well I guess its my cause too.I live downtown just slightly west by the Dome.I worked in Buckhead for 2 years. Most of the time I walked to the train station from my house and rode MARTA to work.Got off at the Buckhead MARTA station and walked three block South to my office.I walked to Lenox or other restaurants for lunch and hung out occasionally with friends in the bars nearby. Its gotten remarkably easier to get around especially since they have redone the streets capes and added wider side-walks with tons more buisnesess.Don't know the last time you were here but its contradictory to what I and others that do the same here do on a daily basis.

That's great....................... Hoboken is still more walkable. Buckhead is bigger, take solace in that.

I take solace in being happy where Im at as you should.Hoboken is for some but not for me.Does that mean its bad? No.But some people at like both,Why can they not be what they are and exist as options for people who want different things? Why does one have to be bad and the other good? Its basically a personal preference.Hoboken is old and crowded,or some say more accessible(which I really like).Yet, Buckhead is nice and modern aesthetically pleasing to the eye with its modernity, tress and overall cleaner look.(which I prefer prefer).Although I understand how some might feel its too spread out.Yet for some to insist that it has absolutely NO urbanity or density at all are going beyond stretching the truth, they are downright lying.

If I wanted older and with super urban density as in Hoboken, I would rather be in New York,Jersey City or even Philly. Why even bother with Hoboken of all places ?

People who say Buckhead is suburban are partially right but that's not quite accurate, as it is denser than what suburbs are usually defined as.Not to mention, this whole thread is not an even match.Comparing a city(MSA)against a section of a major city is odd and not even a natural comparison.Hoboken vs Atlanta would have been an equal if also unbalanced.

Friendship Village doesn't even get to 5,000 in population.
Apparently it's 0.05 square miles. It's literally a couple streets of high rises and shops and nothing more.
I'm not denying it's density or anything, but I'm kind of clueless why such an irrelevant, unincorporated "village" is the topic of discussion right now.

You're the one with the density fetish. Just telling you about the densest place in the country, not my fault it's not in NJ.

Density is not a "fetish". How preposterous! Density is what separates a city from a town. More than skyrises, density is the defining characteristic of a city.

You mean like the "Towns" of Houston, Atlanta, and Dallas?

What you said was preposterous.

And maintained density is also what fuels energy and atmosphere

It is really the result of density, even better when is it is density of younger and/or areas with expendable income - creates the outdoor scene of the see and be seen and the vibrance and electricty that is generated.

Especially the evening energy, you just feel it
