Apparently so. It's never friendly between Minnesota and Georgia. There was a similar thread a few months ago that quickly degenerated and was shut down.

Appears it is. Minnesota is as graceful in victory as Georgia is in defeat. Sad, really. Two great states ought to be able to respect each other, no matter which side is currently winning the poll.

That other time Zone2FlyBoy started all kinds of fights, and this time it's a couple other GA posters who are talking way too much smack and/or trying to instigate fights. I shouldn't fall for the trap but sometimes I can't help myself. Yes, it sure was a good, clean thread for a while -- I agree! And it's lasted quite some time!!

Nope. Alcohol is banned at Gopher games. I believe it is for everyone, including luxury suites.

So the remedy for that is to binge like there's no tomorrow before the game, throw up, and see the rest of the game tired and with a headache!!!

I decided I wanted to find a more objective answer. You know, numbers I can see, touch, work with, and truly believe in. Or something.

So I asked the wisest of all web sites that I know.

I asked Google.

Here are the results... I had to do this by hand since the old oracle I used to use to run my life (the original Sucks-Rules-O-Meter) seems to be dead.

Minnesota

Search for "Minnesota Sucks"
About 15,900 results (0.18 seconds)

Search for "I love Minnesota"
About 707,000 results (0.35 seconds)

Ratio of sucks to love: 1:44

Georgia

Search for "Georgia sucks"
About 50,500 results (0.14 seconds)

Search for "I love Georgia"
About 1,150,000 results (0.27 seconds)

Ratio of sucks to love: 1:22

Scientific? No. But they're numbers, all righty.

That is trouble, too. If they catch you drunk in the stadium (alcohol offense, they call it), they kick you out. Then, if you go back to the next football game, they will check your BAC to make sure you blow zeros. If not, no admittance.

Wow. As long as kids are legal and don't trash stuff, why not let them drink?

I don't get it.

Maybe I'm not all growed up yet...

Of course, the last Gophers football game I went to was in Memorial Stadium, so it's been a while. Not as fun as Williams Arena or Mariucci, either, because the Gophs haven't had a consistently good football team since before I was born.
