I never said there was not. That does not mean ppl from NYC metro do not come into Philly metro. You simply do not understand the metro because you have not lived here.

In the Bay on the other hand, a whole lot of people who work in SJ choose to live in SF and a lot of people who work in SF but don't like urban living live in the SJ area. Economically they're not separate at all, and neither is the rest of the Bay... it functions as a giant single entity.
I never said Sj shouldnt be included in SF. What is this trying to prove? Ntohing but what I already know. You are trying to prove a point to me that I already understand.

The point is that there are very concrete reasons for why the Philly CSA is how it is and why the Bay CSA is how it is... it's not arbitrary nor is it "biased" towards the Bay.
NY boosters haven't done a good job making their case for Brooklyn > San Francisco (hip hop videos? Really?), and that's easily the most vibrant of NY's outer boroughs, what makes you think Queens has a chance? Please, enlighten me.

SF posters have done a good job? What have they proven? The answer is nothing!

I might as well be speaking to a wall. I am done with this convo.

Well, yeah.
The simple fact that SF is a worldwide tourist destination and is usually ranked at or near the top as a travel destination should dissuade anyone from comparing one of the outer boroughs to it. SF is more influential than Brooklyn, it's a better food city p4p, and it's loaded with instantly recognizable landmarks and tourist attractions. Better museums and performing arts centers too.
To think that Brooklyn, by itself, beats SF is crazy talk. Do you think it could beat Philly by itself?
