The murdervrate and crime overall have been plummeting in VA's two premier cities for a decade now. Even just 10 years ago, Rich had 84/43.08, Norfolk had 59/24.48. 20 years ago--1995--Rich had 120/59.11, Norfolk had 53/21.72...
St. Louis' total this year so far exceeds every yearend total from 1996-2014. 1995 had a higher yearend total (204) than St. Louis' current total, although it appears the city is going to come close to it this year.
