I'll pick my poison. Seattle. It's huge number of issues are not as bad as San Fran's.

St. Louis, MO or Pittsburgh, PA?

More closely matched than many might know.

I think they both have strengths that their recent declines in fortune mask.

But Pittsburgh has spectacular topography as well. Even though that means I'd have a rougher time getting around when it snows, I'll take Pittsburgh by a hair for that reason.

University City, Mo., or Philadelphia's University City neighborhood?

Philadelphia. Unless your name is Chicago, I have less than 0 interest in STL, Missouri, Illinois or the midwest. Just not my cuppa tea. Landlocked, flat, cold, not super prosperous.

Fredericksburg, Virginia vs Tom's River, New Jersey?

Fredericksburg... It seems like a nice town not too far outside the DC metro. Tom's River is a bit too suburban for my liking although I'm sure it's fun to be near the ocean in the summertime.

Minot, ND or Anchorage, AK?

Minot by default. There's no way I could live in an area as isolated and harsh as AK.

Johnson City/Kingsport, TN metro or Erie, PA metro?

Erie, PA. A better metro area and close to Cleveland and Buffalo.

Richmond, VA or Dallas, TX?

Dallas. Larger with more to do. I still like Richmond, though.

Tampa/St. Petersburg, FL area or Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, FL area?

Lexington. It's a nice little metro and I like the rolling hills in the area.

Greenville, SC or Chattanooga, TN?
