Springfield... 30 min from Downtown Dayton and 45 min from Downtown Columbus. Slightly more populous city/county with seemingly a little more going on in the region. Not a huge fan of KY in general.
Troy, MI or Troy, NY?
Troy, MI. I have some family in that area. It's also in a larger metro with more to do than Troy, NY.
Location: northern Vermont - previously NM, WA, & MA

Charlottesville, VA I would never live in KY ever in my life. Poor state with only diminishing traits.
New Hope, PA or Ithaca, NY
Both very nice towns, Ithaca is the most scenic, but New Hope is in a better location close to Philly, and there's some nice landscapes around there too. I'd pick New Hope.

Boston or Philadelphia?
Philly. Both have their merits, but Philly's much more affordable. Boston's COL is so high.
I currently live in Phoenix and I like it. However, I will visit WV rather soon, actually.
