DC. Four distinctive seasons..... I love cities with riverfronts..... proximity to both the coast and the mountains. Diverse ethnic mix, position on the east coast....makes it great for day trips or weekend trips.

Charlotte or Baltimore.

Charlotte or Baltimore.
Charlotte because it is a better city.

Providence, RI or Cincinnati, OH?

Providence. I find RI to be a very interesting state despite its size and with a very rich history. It's also in a better location for access to other cities of interest, in addition to not being landlocked like Ohio.

Des Moines, Iowa or Little Rock, Arkansas?

Des Moines. Very nice metro and town. Now, if you had said NW Arkansas (Fayetteville/Springdale area), I would've chosen that. It's one of the most underrated areas in the nation, IMO. But I'm not a fan of Little Rock.

Milwaukee, WI or St. Louis, MO?

Milwaukee because it is a nicer city and more interesting downtown.

South Bend, IN or Scranton, PA?

Rochester , for the state of NY, and yes, the weather. Rather have lots of snow than incredible heat and humidity..

La Crosse, WI vs. Mankato, MN?

La Crosse. Excellent little city. Love my time there. Best cheese curds I've ever had too.

Athens GA or Gainesville FL?
