Don't know either city but heard that Auburn, AL has a good economy and the weather is more favorable to me so I pick it. Grand Rapids MI or South Bend, IN?

Grand Rapids. Seems more of a balanced city economically... and offers more as a city in terms of amenities.

Lexington KY or Roanoke VA.

St Mary's GA. While I dont' know the town itself I really like the stretch from Tybee Island down to Fernandina and would take a chance on the GA St Mary's even though St Mary's OH seems nice and has a beautiful lake. St Mary's GA also seems commutable to JAX whereas the St Mary's OH is an hour + from Columbus, Cincy, Dayton, etc.

Carrboro NC or Rock Hill SC?

Cheyenne Wyoming or Bismarck North Dakota.
