Pasadena. Nicer downtown, even when there's no Tournament of Roses Parade down Colorado Boulevard. Actually feels urban where Burbank feels more amorphous.

Oakland, Calif., or Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood? (Can you name a famous literary figure who lived in both of these cities?)

Oakland in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh, PA or St. Louis, MO?

Pittsburgh, PA. I like the institutions better and that the city is prettier and better kept. I have met some friends from there and they were unique.

Birmingham, AL or Indianapolis, IN?

hmmmm, I think Birmingham eeks this one out slightly. I don't know it could really go either way. I'm not terribly enamored with either city and I know my wife would not be happy about these choices either. Although Indy is significantly larger and that generally is the deciding factor in cases like this, Birmingham is warmer by enough to override Indy's size advantage. On top of that, I have a very close friend in the Bham area.

Mobile, AL vs Evansville, IN

I usually prefer the midwest but I might would go with Mobile in this case as long as I my travel trailer and plenty of warning to evacuate when necessary.

Little Rock, Iowa, or Littlerock, California?

Little Rock, CA. At least it's near larger towns like Palmdale. Natchez, MS or Columbus, MS?

Natchez. One of the prettiest small towns in America. I've enjoyed every time I've visited.

Chattanooga, TN or Madison, WI?

Madison is better and more underrated. The city is not as popular or tourist oriented as Chattanooga.

Covington, KY or Tacoma, WA?

Covington. The Cincinnati metro is one of my favorites and I really don't want to be anywhere on the west coast.

Philadelphia, PA or Chicago, IL?

Chicago. I do not care for Philadelphia. Chicago is cheaper and seems to offer more things imo.

Hartford, CT or Jackson, MS?
