Louisville. Two cities with a lot of history and character, and I love visiting both. But to live, KY is a more desirable state, so that breaks the tie.
Meridian. It's a bit run down, but it has nice parts. Military towns aren't my cup of tea.
Speaking of military towns:
Lawton, Oklahoma or Columbus, Georgia?
I'll go with Columbus. I have a high school buddy who lives there and our youngest son went to jump school there when he was in the Army. At the end of the day, I really wouldn't want to live in either.
This is tough for me. I love San Antonio, it's my favorite city in Texas; but Jacksonville is basically home, as I grew up nearby and have family nearby.
I would tend to lean towards SA as I would love to experience something new, but I have a feeling my better half would pick Jax.

Anchorage, Alaska or Las Vegas, Nevada?
Las Vegas. Bigger and has more attractions that I enjoy. Tallahassee FL or Lafayette LA?
Bristol. I prefer being in the Johnson City/Kingsport metro and prefer TN over VA.
Boise, ID or Asheville, NC?
Tough. Asheville has more like minded progressive people. Boise is getting there, but I always for some weird reason have wanted to live in Boise. This one is tough.
I think I would say Asheville just because Im East Coast-based. But it would be splitting hairs, and I would be just as okay with going to Boise.
Greensboro NC or Providence RI?
