Gary, Indiana or Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Milwaukee.......... never been.... but I hear some good things about it. Full fledged city with sports teams... and a great Lakefront.

Raleigh NC or Durham NC

It's not a comparison, and that's the point.

Durham is smaller, more progressive, a little cheaper, a little more crime (mostly crimes of opportunity and petty theft), but it also retains a lot of its character still. HOWEVER, if it keeps moving at the pace it has been, that character will be gone in 5 years time, and many will say that it already is gone.

Based on what this random person on reddit said, I'm just going to go with Durham.

Boston, MA vs. Austin, TX

Hey they kinda rhyme! Hmm, I want to say that we could make Austin work. It's definitely got enough going for it that we could live there, and we have some network already there though it's still a far cry from what we have in place in a lot of other cities. However, ultimately I think we'd have to go with Boston. These just aren't on the same tier, and Boston is way more aligned with the type of city and lifestyle we would want to move to. So I'm picking Boston, with the caveat that I'm sure my wife would make us snowbird during the winter months...maybe in Austin! lol. Which is a good thing cause I couldn't stand to be there anyway if the Patriots are having success in the playoffs.

Guam vs the city formerly known as Barrow, AK (now Utqiagvik)

Guam... bigger, more amenities, much better weather, no issues with too much or too little sunlight. Close to other parts of Oceania for vacations.

Salt Lake City, UT or Grand Rapids, MI?

Grand Rapids. I'd love to live near the mountains, but I have a hunch that I'd feel too isolated in SLC.

Princeton, NJ. Too much hate and violence exists in the Berkeley population towards those who are not like them.

Santa Fe, NM or Palm Springs, CA?

I’m guessing the previous poster has never actually set foot in Berkeley, CA. I’ve never witnessed or experienced this violence you speak of, lol.

As for the choices, Palm Springs all the way. I can be in Los Angeles or San Diego (and the beach) in 1.5-2.5 hours whenever I want. I’m sure Santa Fe is quite lovely, but I’d prefer not to be landlocked.

Ft Wayne, IN or Ft Myers, FL?

Syracuse...it's more interesting than Peoria, which is just a suburban hell town. A few main drags with the same boring old fast food and big box chains you'll find in any similarly sized American town with no character or architecture or anything.

Dallas, Texas or Phoenix, Arizona?

Phoenix, I almost moved there. I love the scenery and Arizona is one of my favorite states. Couldn't convince DH to deal with heat so we went elsewhere. It's nice to see Central Phoenix finally developing and improving and its actually pretty decent food town. Dallas doesn't do much for me.

South Lake Tahoe, CA or Nantucket, MA?
