Pittsburgh's 37th homicide victim of 2019 was a 90-year-old man who was "targeted".

Using our city's 2018 population estimate of 301,048 we now have a rate of 12.29/100,000.

This might be the lowest we've had in recent history. I truly hope Pittsburgh can even get below 10/100,000 in the coming years. Our city is gentrifying very rapidly.

25th for Montreal today. We were on pace for under 20 homicides until this month, where 9 homicides happened in December. Regardless, 2018 saw 32 homicides, 2019 with 25, which is either the second or third lowest recorded in history. Pretty solid for an island of more than 2 million people.

Default boredatwork

I dont know Baltimore divides there district but based on my findings

West Baltimore = WD(59), NW (41), SW (52) about 152/300k around 50 per100k
East Baltimore = ED (53), NE (41), SE (32) about 126/250k around 50 per 100k
South Baltimore (28) about 34k around 82 per 100k
North Baltimore (24) about 100k around 24 per 100k
***dont know how to classify central Baltimore but it says around (11).
Baltimore is almost equally bad all around expect the central and northern districts

DC
Southeast across the river around 79 about 100k around 79 per 100k
Southeast with capital hill 84 about 122k around 68 per 100k
Northeast across the river around 18 about 40k around 45 per 100k
Northeast 42 about 144k around 30per 100k
Nortwest 28 about 340k around 8.2 per 100k
Southwest across the river 7 around 10k around 70 per 100k
Southwest 11 around 35k around 31 per 100k

DC's has had the most since 08. Southeast/ SW across the river have almost half DC murders at around 15% of the population.

No one in the city wants to really talk about it but between the uptick in crime and the extreme gentrification, DC is a mess currently.

Well I guess it's official,

Baltimore was the worse city of the 2010's ~

New Orleans had the 2000's ~

And damn near every city was bad in the 80's / 90's ~

Now hopefully in the 2020's we can increase the peace in our comminties nationwide ✓

Y'all be safe out there tonight

St. Louis was the worst city of the 2000s by a considerable margin, it's always been worse than Baltimore pretty much every decade...

Baltimore is a more important and prominent city so we hear about it more...
