Hampton Roads: Virginia Beach is great, the Outer Banks begin in Hampton Roads [Sandbridge], Norfolk is underrated with neighborhoods like Ghent, there's Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, Busch Gardens and Plantation Country as well.

Lots to see and do.

Indianapolis is improving, but it's still an incredibly boring city for its size.

Hampton Roads mainly because of its location and access to ocean and mountains.

I’m not the biggest Indy fan but I’m not sure this a fair poll. It’s basically one city versus a conglomerate of cities and towns some of which have their own distinctive characteristics. I pick Hampton Roads just by the number of options in the area.

Agreed. Hampton Roads is a far more interesting place overall.

I like Indy and would probably be fine living there if I had a good job offer, but I only ever go out of my way to visit for Indy 500.

Can we compare the Indy metro to Hampton roads then?
