Baltimore and DC have more southern sounding blacks. You are still embarrassed that a midwestern (northern) city, is still less southern, than Baltimore and DC even in this category.
For every video you post, I will continue to counter with a non-southern sounding one.
It goes against conventional wisdom because it just isn’t true, and anyone who’s lived through winters in both knows so. The Groundhog Day blizzard absolutely materialized blizzard conditions rapidly with lake effect snow off Lake Michigan from the northeast, which doesn’t happen as often, but did in this case (anyone who has lived in Chicago knows how dramatically winds from the NE can completely alter the weather patterns). Pre treating roads, which absolutely happened, basically did nothing. And LSD was reopened for rush hour traffic within 36 hrs. That’s another major difference. Again, if you haven’t actually spent winters in both and seen how the population responds to winters, you just don’t know.
If they had enough time to pre-treat the roads, then it wasn't so sudden, was it? A year prior, the East Coast had 2 nor'easters back to back. Obama, a Chicago native, called it "Snowmageddon." He said he had never seen that much snow before. Within a span of 7 days, Baltimore received just over 50 inches of snow. Those storms did not turn downtown Baltimore into a parking lot.

Obama is a native of Hawaii, but your point is taken.

The reason why it has been suggested that you stop using those types of videos to illustrate a Chicago accent is because you're posting videos of black people who are doing something known as "code switching." The videos of Native Chicagoans that Resident posted were of black people who were speaking with their natural tone, accent.
That Bryant Gumble example was the worst of them all.
How is that the worst? I don’t understand. It is just an example of a native black Chicagoan who has zero Southern twang to his accent. That was why I gave that example.
You are free to use an equivalent example from Baltimore or DC.

The average black Chicagoan sounds more southern than the average black Baltimorean honestly. You would encounter people that sound like Jess Hilarious or Gervonta Davis in Baltimore more frequently than someone you will encounter someone sounding like Common or Lupe in Chicago. You most frequently will find people sounding like Chief Keef, Lil Durk, G Herbo, Twista, Lil Reese etc in Chicago who all sound very southern. With that said, Chicago is less southern influenced as a whole than Baltimore.

This is not my experience at all. Having grown up in Baltimore/DC and now having lived in Chicago for almost 10 years, I have a reference for comparison. I have not "frequently" encountered black people sounding like Chief Keef, Twista, I don't know the rest. If you have not lived in Chicago, that will be your reference (known rappers, etc.). That is not "average." Chicago has a large middle class black population that does not fit the mold you've described.
Even if you take more urban blacks, not all sound like you describe. Below is IMO a fair representation of an "average" black Chicago accent that you would "frequently" encounter, if you are restricting to urban blacks:
And to your last point, Chicago is waaay less southern influenced than Baltimore or DC. That is not even debatable. Which is why this whole thread has devolved to only comparing blacks because that is the only point that is even debatable, and they have lost that argument as well.
