Many black Hondurans in Boston too, one just narrowly lost a city council seat.. There is also a "Comida Garifuna" restaurant in Dorchester. And if you know Dart Adams- he is Honduran. Most of them are very much English speaking-Hondoruan. No idea if it's more or less than Houston, but I know a lot of them actually. Usually, I only find out their Honduran later a la Sauce Walka becaus theyre surnames are like "Johnson, Allison, etc". I don't know if it's growing either thy seem fairly well established in Boston and have a pretty low profile. I've seen their parties/events since I was very young.

I'm going to say no, but I'm also curious to see what is being used for Middle East. Using "Arab" under ancestry (which includes Egyptian, Palestinian, Iraqi, Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian, Morroccan, general Arab and then other Arab) the numbers in the 2020 estimates look different than the ones posted.

Is this Middle East, born outside the U.S.?

Yup. Afghans count as Asian.

The numbers on the page before count both American born and foreign born though things get grainy because so many people pick things that are interchangeable.

Ah got it. If you include those as Middle Eastern, I'd expect DC's Middle Eastern population numbers to rise.

Yeah, there's seems to be an exodus of Black Creole/Kriol/Garifuna people from Central America to the US. Most notably Belize went from majority Kriol (essentially black) to majority Hispanic/mestizo. Most go to NY and Massachusetts but California (Belizeans mostly) and Houston seem popular as well.

Due to their phenotype and/or surnames, most folks don't even realize that alot of these folks are Central American/latino or have Central American ancestry e.g. Hype Williams, Taxstone (real name Daryl Campbell) Brian Flores, rappers Casanova, OG Genasis, DJ Clark Kent, actresses Skai Jackson, Tessa Thompson, etc.

Yeah Belizeans are the only Caribbean group that is more numerous out west than on the East Coast. Quite interesting.
