The North Springs does got aacross 285 north perimeter thats where Medical center, Dunwoody, sandy springs, north springs stations are the train goes over 285 in that direction . Doraville which is the North east line goes right to 285
As does the Kensington station on the East line and H E Holmes on the West Line. This thread is yet another example of the folks from 'up there' going negative on a subject about which they have no clue.

Right I just dont understand it I wonder why? Do you know Why they do that. We all know cta is larger and bigger no one is comparing that. MArta is the only heavy rail and bus systems that have TVs on them. which is cool. For me rail is Rail i would expect those trains to make noise and smell in chicago because there older and more used Just like NYC someof there stations the roof is falling in and it smells real bad and rats run around on the platforms ( I saw that with my own eyes) But that doesnt effect people from riding them. Things like that happen in Larger citys. The only reason why Marts system stay clean is because its heavily maintence with cleaning. You cant eat or drink in stations are on the bus.
Your over exaggerrating about ridership The trains are only empty after 10 pm I ride Marta all the time and the trains are always well used
I know I was exaggerating...I was basically just saying the amount of riders in Chicago vs Atlanta isn't even comparable.
When I was in ATL for the SEC Championship game, the trains were packed but the people on the trains were all wearing Florida Gators or Arkansas Razorbacks gear. Other than that there were only a couple native Atlantans (?).

Thats the point i am making you cant make a general statement about a citys ridership based on one weekend you have to live here to get and idea of what its like during morning afternoon and night there are over 300,000 people who ride the train a day without events. There are some days that there are not alot of people on the train but for the most part its well well used

So this "snapshot" is supposed to make you conversant on MARTA ridership? And did you poll the riders to determine who was a native?

No, I'm not claiming I rode MARTA regularly. I just look at statistics. Found on Wikipedia, I calculated the daily ridership of heavy rail, light rail, commuter rail, and bus systems:

Thanks to whomever moved this to the City v. City thread so it could be turned into yet another useless bickerfest instead of addressing the original question.
