It was a hard descison, but a descision that had to be made. Chicago stays at #5. SF's "visitability" gave it the edge.
Well hey, no problem! Everyone is entitled to a honest mistake now and then. In any case at the very least, Chicago's major importance to the national rail network trumps errr ... San Francisco's "visitability"! But I will give you #5 for San Francisco.
Considering everything from culture to economics...
1.) NYC (although I do feel like many trends originate on the West Coast and then make their way east...but come one, it's NYC)
2.) LA
3.) Washington D.C.
4.) San Francisco
5.) Chicago
Not surprisingly, these are 5 of the biggest metro areas in the country.
1. Washington (Now that the federal government has beseiged the private sector)
2. New York (still has a whole heck of a lot of private sector, though)
3. Los Angeles (tie) (which has more real impact on a country...)
3. Chicago (tie) (...it's entertainment or its infrastructure?)
4. Atlanta (had to pick something--and they have CNN and Coke... and Ludacris)
5. Springfield, IL (now THAT'S entertainment)
You do know that "1st Tier" indicates more importance, right? Miami is more important than NYC? Would love to hear an explanation about this one.
