However, while SA and AUS aren't exactly upscale cities, they are definitely pulling them quick; especially Austin.

It has nothing to do with being more "fashionable".
Well no offense, but how do you know what the reason was for them putting one in Dallas? Were you there at the board meeting?

Not trying to sound like an *******, but I don't think it's as simple as you say. I think it likely has a lot to do with Dallas' place in the fashion industry.

Who cares??? It's just freindly competition. I personally love Dallas and Houston and have friends in both. With 3 cities all in the same region, undergoing the same amount of growth it is bound to happen.

This is about which metros have top shopping. Why don't you guys create another thread called "Dallas vs. Houston vs. Atlanta--which has better shopping." You notice it's the same people posting in this boring topic lately? This thread had so many responses so fast, and now hardly anyone is responding. Boring...

It seems like a lot of people are finding this boring. Most people don't care that much about the shopping in Dallas, Houston, or Atlanta compared to LA and NY.

You're only annoyed because everyone isn't worshipping New York. I know all NYers aren't like you, but regardless of what some of y'all think, we do not spend sleepless nights wondering why we're not just like NYC.

Everyone knows NY is considered the all around best for shopping. No one has argued that. But if you'll notice ON THE POLL THERE IS AN OTHER OPTION. Which means that everybody can discuss what ever cities they want. Furthermore, we are not stopping anyone who wants to talk about NY and LA from doing so. It's not our fault that we were the only ones posting.

Very clever responses...

Well, I'll let it go, since this is all the public attention those 3 cities seem to get

What about Las Vegas, San Francisco, Miami? I think they have better shopping than any of the cities you're all talking about. Especially Las Vegas...Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta are like ~10th in the country when it comes to shopping.

And no, I don't care if we don't talk about NY. It's #1 and everyone knows that, so it isn't worth discussing.
