I don't consider any of those liberal. I guess if I had to pick, maybe NC with all the big college towns there.

fl house is also 77 republicans to 42 democrats... (of those 23 of them are from fll/miami...) does that give you a better idea of FL?

the truth is NONE of these states are liberal... fl and nc are moderate, the rest are conservative. They aren't on the same playing field as the west coast, upper midwest (IL, MI, WI, MN) or northeast... whole different ball game and if you go looking for it you will sorely be dissapointed.
I agree 100%.

The thing about Florida is that there are probably like 2 areas in the whole state that are probably a lot more liberal than almost all areas of the south. The rest, not so much. There are many areas of Florida that are very southern, religious, and conservative.

So how does that make Florida MORE conservative then the other southern states?

I wondered if that might have partly been the point, to pick a group of fairly conservative states then decide which in that subset is liberal. Although it's maybe more about the South.

I suppose an analog would be a list of New England states and guess which is the most conservative. (Offhand I'd say that's either New Hampshire or Maine)

IMHO, some people are over-estimating how "liberal" South Florida is. Although it is true that there are many liberal transplants, Cuban Americans, which form a huge segment of South Florida's population, have traditionally voted Republican/Conservative. Hispanics, especially Florida's, aren't all liberal or Democrat.
Obama winning Florida's hispanic vote was the first time a Democrat was able to do that.

I'd say Florida, overall, is moderate leaning conservative.

I do not consider any of these states liberal, but I guess is either NC or FL just because of Miami.

None of the states as a whole are liberal, but no state in America is (as a whole) liberal. The large cities in those states are very liberal but the rural areas are not.

If you go to NY State for example, unless you are in Manhattan, the state is not liberal. Same goes for California where vast swaths of the state outside of LA and SF are not liberal either

I said Texas just because it has inner loop Houston, Austin and Dallas
