Yes but FW won't become the bigger city. Dallas is still the more urban and more established city.

I think so. San Jose is the largest city in the Bay Area, and yet, San Francisco is still viewed as the traditionally dominant city in that region.

Virginia Beach is the largest city in the Hampton Roads region (and the State of Virginia,) and Norfolk is still considered to be the dominant city as it is the center of commerce and industry in the Hampton Roads region.

While I don't "like" that Baltimore and Washington are considred the same metro area, to be fair, I'm including them since I included the Bay Area (Which I don't agree with SF and SJ being considered "separate" metro areas, but that's neither here nor there). Baltimore is larger than Washington, but it's obvious what is the principal city in that region.

Ft Worth surpassing Dallas in population will be great copy and fodder to stroke the egos of Ft Worthians (whom I'm pretty sure will remind people as much as possible), but most people won't care. Given the appaling lack of knowledge people have about geography and population, I still see how people will view Dallas as the principal city in the region.

Good comparison. +1. Whoever said that the Perimeter Center area was more comparable to the Dallas Galleria area was on the money too.

I'm still trying to figure out what is our Tysons Corner - Buckhead or Perimeter Center.

Galleria Dallas is definitely like Perimeter Center
and Tysons is definitely like Buckhead.

Las Colinas to Cumberland/Galleria is similar if you are trying to compare city to city but Las Colinas has a much more planned/upscale community feel to it and is very walkable.

I always find it funny how two different areas can create environments that end up being very similar to another area.

It seems like your hatred of Dallas is downright pathological. You need a hug or something?

I'm supposed to be coming down to D/FW for the All Star Game. I know I shouldn't expect to see people picking cotton on the side of the Stemmons Freeway. Sheesh...
If anything, that stereotype would be better applied to Houston than DFW. Houston is loaded with Uncle Toms that "run-tell-dat" and are afraid of the HPD and Metro cops there.

No because Dallas Galleria is a mall.
