That's crazy, I would never move back there. I hate everything about it.

This is my neighborhood of Atwater Villiage in Los Angeles.

It use to be pretty bad from the 70's up until a few years back. From time to time you still hear gunshots but only like once or twice an entire year. As opposed to before which was every night.

It looks semi ghetto.

I witness my neighbors get raided by cops. There's tagging by the local gang, and it still happens now. And rivals come and tag it up aswell, and you see alot of the names being crossed out and retagged again.

But despite all that, we got newer people moving in. Overall it's primarily latino, but it's gotten pretty mixed recently.

It was alot worse when my dad was growing up. There was a driveby at the corner store(now called The Boonies), and several people were killed. The park was notorious back in the day and they never delivered pizza here. Glendale wanted to block off all the train crossings but the neighborhood stood against it. Right now Glendale is going through a boom so I think that's the reason they are trying to keep crime down.

when i look at bushwick now, i refuse to believe that's bushwick.

i mean was bushwhick really like this because it barely has vacancy now, and for the most part none of the buildings even look new.

in the bronx all of the buildings that cover the old vacant lots for the most part look up to date since they were rebuilt less then 20 years ago.
