Definitely NYC over LA. I lived in LA, and places close too early. Also, in LA you've gotta drive pretty much everywhere. That can potentially put a damper on an evening out.
Yea the driving thing kills it. I like to have the benifet of going to multiple places with NYC's density and public trans. NYC has everything its huge and has a great sence of neighborhods so you can jump from area to area and have diversity.
So I guess you're saying that Phoenix has way better nightlife than Miami then? And Dallas blows away New Orleans in nightlife?
Your logic is flawed.
New Orleans and Miami are built for nightlife. That is their claim to fame Dallas and Phoenix not so much. But 8+ million vs 4 million? Yes that is when the population means something. An over 4 million people difference is a lot to come here and say NY=LA.
Yeah Las Vegas might go over all 3. Tacky or not, it attracts people. The numbers don't lie.
More than NYC? This thread was about the nightlife capital of the U.S. I'm sure there's no city in the U.S. with more available nightlife than New York. The numbers don't lie.

Nonsensical and arbitrary.
