According to this report, 31 murders were reported in Dallas between 1/1/10 and 3/22/10.

new york city 2010 -118
new york city 2009 - 97

brooklyn 2010 - 45 - i kind of new it would go back up
brooklyn 2009 - 44

manhattan 2010 - 18
manhattan 2009 - 8

queens 2010 - 23
queens 2009 - 15

bronx 2010 - 29
bronx 2009 - 23

staten island 2010 - 3
staten island 2009 - 5

even though nyc had 1 less murder this week as compared to the same week in 2009 i would say nyc was calm this week as compared to last year especially with the large increase of crime from 09 - 2010

As of 3/31/10 Dallas had 35 murders while Detroit had 60 murders

i saw some one post that detroit was at 109 as of now , so that would mean their were more then 40 killings from 3/31 till now which makes no sense.

that was his estimate for Detroit.... Chicago is at 97 up 16 from last year at this time
