Just last week the decrease in murders from 2009 was 27.4 %, now its 24.1%
As the summer approaches, the more murders will happen.
seems like the nypd is so late on their reports, everyone has their city updated to june 1st, while the nypd latest update is the 23rd of may , and that was just updated yesterday
well not everywhere in new york is safe lol, and yea in the beginning of the year nyc was up almost 30 percent in murders, now we are up percent.
south manhattan(basically the city) had the biggest increase. the murder percent is up 800% with 9 murders as of 5/23 compared to 1 last year.
It's still pretty safe about 5% murder rate per capita. And so is Chicago and LA.There all pretty safe. Now Gary,In ,Camden,Nj, Detroit, New Orleans, Phily, Richmond,CA, Baltimore and even Baton Rouge have higher murder rates. Chicago,NYC,and LA are like a walk in the park compared to those cities.
um wtf??where did you get your raw numbers from? new york city did not have 412 murders, its had 471 murders, higher then chicago , and also chicago did not have 463 it had like 440 something. your numbers are of , where are you getting them from?
Also 2009 was one of the lowest in Chicago's history.
lmao wow homie did you read the small letters on the bottom of the nyc map
?? it clearly states not every homicide is written on it lol.
also i have this map on my pc and not every homocide is listed on it , you have to go to the nypd website or newspaper links to find the actual homocide number of nyc.
^^their you go in that link on december 30th 2009 it was recorded that nyc had 461 murders, but when all the math was done after deceber 31st nyc recorded 471.
the nytimes homicide map is way of, and the map itself tells you in fine print that not every homicide is counted.
