smh @ you for lying about your city and bashing Cleveland, when it's obvious you haven't been here much.

I don't know how much further Detroit can go now, it's very close to hitting the brick wall.

You obviously have no idea about Cleveland. Maybe you should read this thread a little and get info about Cleveland before posting something that is bull.

If you want to see a good example of a rust-belt revival, look at Pittsburgh. Cleveland is still sorting out its issues compared to Pittsburgh, but it is light years ahead of Detroit.

Detroit is a one-trick pony (Big 3/auto industry) and that pony was already on its last legs before the recession.

I don't see Cleveland doing this:

Detroit to bulldoze thousands of homes in fight for survival - Telegraph

But do you know about any of these?: East Banks of the Flats Project, Euclid Corridor Project, Uptown Project, Tyler Village Project, University Hospitals Cancer Center, Little Italy Townhomes Project, Avenue District Project, Gordon Square Battery Park, Medical Mart, Warehouse District renovations to condos, E. 4th, Museum of Art $30 mil expansion, New Aquarium, Chicle Building and Condos, Casino etc

Just because YOU haven't heard anything, doesn't mean stuff isn't going on in Cleveland. There are billions of dollars worth of projects all throughout the city. Outside of Cleveland, no one knows about it because the media loves to bash Cleveland -- when in reality they are just being ignorant.

I visited Cleveland a couple years ago for a wedding. Half of downtown looked like it was under construction. I've been to Cleveland a few times before that. I lived in pittsburgh for a year.

While University Hospital is nice, I still think UPMC is a better developed hospital system.

Not to mention, does cleveland have an article like this from a major newspaper? Is cleveland's unemployment rate and housing market doing as well as pittsburgh's?

Is cleveland considered one of the most livable cities in the country?

Does cleveland have a good sports history ?

Cleveland is actually known for the Cleveland Clinic, which surpasses anything in Pittsburgh. http://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals/rankings

Cleveland was ranked as Most Livable City before: Cleveland Ranked #1 "Most Livable City" in the U.S.

Here's a nice article about Cleveland: 36 Hours - Cleveland - NYTimes.com or this What Cleveland Has that Pittsburgh Wants

Cleveland was predicted as having the best Housing Market for 2010: Best Housing Markets in 2010

Cleveland and Pittsburgh are on the same level right now. If someone tells you different then they are drinking the kool aid big time.

Also, what Detriotlove is failing to see is that the auto industry is still one industry. Regardless of how 'diverse' the jobs that depend on it are, if that industry leaves, so do those jobs.

Cleveland has bio-tech. Pittsburgh has bio med. Akron has polymers. Detriot has.....err, manufacturing.

There's foreclosed homes you can buy in Detroit for less than $75
... Yea

Cleveland is a great, improving, GROWING city.

I'm sorry to rag on Detroit like this, but there's only one way to answer this IMO.
