I'd have to say Shaker Heights by a long shot.

Maybe Gates Mills? Certainly much richer than Shaker heights.

Now when you say Cleveland, do you mean city proper, city proper+inner suburbs, or entire metro area?

I found this on City Data

http://www.city-data.com/nbmaps/neig...land-Ohio.html

If talking about Cleveland Proper, then the downtown sections such as the Warehouse District would be the richest. If including suburbs, then I'd agree with BJimmy that Hunting Valley is the richest. I saw Hunting Valley in a recent "richest communities in the US" list though I forgot where.

OP started out by saying Shaker, so I assume s/he is talking metro area.

You can look it up here:

Mapping America ? Census Bureau 2005-9 American Community Survey - NYTimes.com

Basically it's the Chagrin River suburbs, with Hunting Valley being the richest.

There is a census tract in Shaker Heights that is actually the second wealthiest in the Cleveland area behind Hunting Valley's. However, Shaker Heights is not as wealthy as those other suburbs as a whole.

^Yeah, no doubt Hunting Valley blows everything away in Cuy county. Practically every house there is an estate situated on goo-gobs of land ... As for the entire metro area? Maybe Waite Hill, although Hunting Valley may top the whole metro area. Moreland Hills and Gates Mills are right up there, too. Parts of Pepper Pike are strong, but overall, the houses just aren't as big...

Shaker, still is competitive, esp north of S. Woodland. But it can't beat out HV.

Lest we forget the fabulously affluent, sylvan lakeshore village of BRATENAHL. It has long been a haven for celebrities of the television / film industry, local TV reporters, sports figures and the cities powerful attorneys, judges ....
