Ok - I think that was last I heard as well. Thanks. Interesting that we always see who's financing the site on prominently displayed signs long before we ever see a sign for what's actually being built. :-/

I could be mistaken, but does Costco consider a population of greater than 100k to be their cutoff?

Maybe, but the site is at the Greenville/Winterville border...adding in Winterville's population of about 10K puts the two cities right there...and then all that population in the Conley district that is not incorporated.

We also know that Greenville is the shopping hub for folks in surrounding counties. I know folks from Bertie County that make a Sams Club trip every month. Costco (or BJ's) could draw in from Kinston, Washington, Williamston and Tarboro outside of Pitt County.

It's definitely an improvement. We moved from Greenville in 2009, have only been back a couple of times since we moved to Winston-Salem in 2011. We were in town this past weekend and drove around to see the changes. PGV expansion looks nice, but it reminds me of a prison with guard towers. They need to update the sign just south of the entrance also. I loved flying to/from PGV when we lived in Greenville.

I remember people going to Goldsboro? from around here before we had a Sam's Club. Back in the 90s. Costco could be a big regional destination.

The DMV on Memorial Dr is moving so I hope they do something with that shopping center. Preferably tear it down.

Maybe this will be the end of that shopping center... or maybe they were informed that they would be selling or redeveloping the shopping center and that they should start looking for a new location.
