The thread on the kiddles dolls got me thinking about the Blythe doll I sold for a doll collecting friend a few years ago. I just looked at eBay and they seem to bring even more $$$ now, into the thousands! What's the deal with Blythe? It's a goofy thing with a big head and eyes that change when you pull the string. I'm guessing the folks fascinated with anime cartoons and stories are the ones creating the demand? Does the doll predate the fantasy characters? Did this doll inspire the fantasy characters?
