Hello,

My husband and I are looking to move to Colorado Springs in the next couple of months. We are looking for a single family home with 3 to 4 bedrooms within the $190,000 to $250,000 range. We would love to live in a clean, family friendly neighborhood. We have seen many houses for sale in our price range in Powers, Falcon, Fountain, Black Forest and Peyton. Can you tell me if these are nice areas? Also, do you know what the commuting time would be from Black Forest or Peyton - they look a little further out. My husband will be working by the Colorado Springs airport.

Any information you could share would be great!

Thanks so much!
Kesti

Don't rule out homes in zip code 80920, it's a straight shot down Powers Blvd to the airport. Nice area, great schools.

From Peyton & Falcon you come in on 2-lane Woodman Rd, due for widening, but will be a mess for a few years.

Powers is already 6 lanes and has all the stores you'd ever want, and a minor league baseball team.

Thanks for the info!

Can you tell me how long of a commute it would be from Briargate down Powers Blvd to the airport?

Also, how long would the commute be from Black Forest?

Is the Powers area a nice area?

Thanks!

Hey there!

Briargate to Airport is about 15-25 minutes. Depending where you were looking on Powers, it could be 10-20 minutes. Powers takes you straight down to the Airport. It is a 3 lane road. So, traffic is usually pretty smooth, unlike the highway. bashep
