If you like scenic mountains, go north of Durango toward Durango Ski Resort. It is very scenic up that way.

If you want lots of clean water, Craig Colorado is nice. Not too much government involvement. And if you wish to participate in the Government, there is room for you. Small Hospital. And HUGE wide open spaces to the west, just outside town. Population 10,000 give or take. Mostly good folks. Low crime. Not alot to do though, except explore the outdoors. Lots of that!
