Please do not choose to move somewhere based on other's preferences and likes. That's probably the biggest mistake a person can make. I also bought into all the thumbs up I saw on this very forum during my own pre-move research, and ultimately found that others were looking through different eyes than my own. No big deal - people are different - but you've got to keep that in mind.
In the end, only you can truly decide what is a good match and a sensible relocation. Keep in my your background, history, and culture. Different regions can have an entirely different batch of factors and preferences, and you might find your new location to be alien to you.
