era2007 is on a distinguished road
Default October / November relocation questions (Castle Rock/Parker/H.R.)

We have been viewing this forum for a few months now as I was compiling more and more information on Colorado in general and the Denver area in particular. At the same time, in the background, I have had several interviews with potential employers in the Denver area and I now find myself awaiting an offer letter which will mean a relocation for my family and myself (my wife and our 2 1/2 year old 4-legged son (yellow Labrador)) from mid-state Pennsylvania to southern Denver during the October - November time frame.

As this is now actually coming to pass (and is not a distant possibility any longer); we would like to reach out to the forum for assistance and recommendations in a few areas:

1)Realtor specializing in homes for rent (rental agent) familiar with area between Highlands Ranch / Parker down to Castle Rock areas...(looking to spend between $900 - $1200 per month on rent)
2)Pet friendly day-care close to Castle Rock (have found Paws Field & Camp Bow Wow); can anyone make recommendation good or bad
3)Veterinarian recommendations in the H.R. / Parker / Castle Rock ‘triangle’
4)Climate controlled indoor storage areas in the ‘triangle’

Any further information you think would be helpful will be appreciated.

There are a few Realtors that handle rentals, but not many. I know 2 who have rentals locally. Look for houses, then to who is renting them.

Once you select where to live, there are services (vet/doggy day care) close by.

I can help with the pet questions.

My wife and I have 3 dogs: black lab, yellow lab and a brown dog (she's a rescue mutt.)

We live in Castle Rock and take them to Camp Bow Wow here in town. We usually only take them when we need to board them overnight but my wife will take them to day care on occassion when I am out of town traveling for work. We really like the people that work there and the facility is very nice.

For our vet, we use the Animal Care Center of Castle Pines. They had an office in Castle Rock but it is closing next week. It is still convenient for us to take them there and we've had wonderful experiences with them. We recently had a bone cancer scare with our black lab and they were very supportive. Thankfully, it wasn't cancer but they jumped through hoops to make us feel certain.

Here is the link to their website: http://www.animalcarectr.com/

Best of luck with the job and your move - you'll love Colorado!
