Liver pudding with scrambled eggs and biscuits at Lizards Thicket! Since moving to LA - I learned - Liver puddin' is definitely a regional food.

I've only lived here for a little over a week, but I am already addicted to chocolate milkshakes from Sandy's! Soooo good.
Someone recommended the Mediterranean Tea Room to me, but I was very unimpressed with it. It sounds like I'll need to try Al-Amir's if I want some decent hummus.
How is Goatfeathers? I hear it's good, but it by just walking by I can't decide if it's an expensive, nicer place, or just a bar.

Goatfeathers is just a bar - a little more upscale than most. Decadent desserts. It was the place to go on a date when you had dinner but didn't want the night to end yet - back in my USC days. I think they have a limited menu - but a lot may have changed in the decade since I frequented it.

Goatfeathers does have food and you can eat dinner there, but it is more of a bar atmosphere.

A few weeks ago I went into Fuddruckers and had a cheeseburger and fries...delicious. I made a promise to myself not to have more than one burger a week since I am changing my eating habits, this is making it very hard.
Last week I went into 5 Guys burger and fries at the Village at Sandhill. Fuddruckers who?? I may never return there again lol. The 5 Guys burger wins hands down.
Any other burger fans? Where do you go?

5 Guys is a franchise (as is Fuddruckers), but yes, they do have some good burgers & fries. (the "small" single patty burger is good; the regular double patty is too greasy for me, and I'm not exactly what you'd call a health nut)

Next time try the burgers at Rockafellas on Rosewood Drive. Chain restaurants can't compare.

Better (burgers) than Rush's? They're not the *best* burger I've ever had but they sure feel better than franchise stuff.

I've never had Fuddruckers or 5 Guys before, i didn't realize they were chains. (None in NYC)
I think both of their burgers are better than Rush's- although Rush's does have good burgers. I like Fudd's buns the best though.
Ceezer is right about the double patty being greasy- but I still like it. :-)
