Another big improvement downtown would be having the Rialto and/or Bradley theaters brought back to life to have a "movie and a dinner" date night option for college students, locals, and visitors to Columbus! The more entertainment options downtown, the better!

Columbus promoters, particularly the Columbus Visitors' Bureau and our hospitality folks, need to heavily advertise Columbus as a great, nearby, getaway from Atlanta's big-city stresses and hassles! A few permanent billboards, and occasional ads in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution would bring lots of additional visitors here...to "discover Columbus!" Some might even move here, which would help our real estate industry also!

No. That is still too soon for the office tower. The apartment building frame will probably be up mid-late January

I got an interesting question! Do construction workers work on the weekends? Last week before it started raining really bad and was drizzling alot I still saw them working. I thought that when the rain starts that whole day is done. Is that true?

It's up to the companies they work for to decide. Usually weekend/inclement weather work is done to make sure things can progress as scheduled on Monday, and/or to be able to meet/improve on contract deadlines. If conditions are dangerous, they very rarely work on any day of the week.

It's a two year project for sure.

Majority of the below ground work which is the car garage appears to be done. The sign along the fence says the apartment building is opening early 2023 I believe.

The apartments will be built out of wood just like The Rapids across the street which should speed up the process. It appears there may be 4 floors of garage space instead of 3 going off of the photo above.
