Yea, watch out for those black bears and baboons. Kill 'em all!

And again, the failure by the sheriff's department and Sheriff Lutz is hardly confined to the events of the last 24 hours. His reckless mishandling of this situation started well before you ever heard of Zanesville, Ohio.

And that's a fact, Jack.

By the way ... if you really do live on a dirt road somewhere in Minnesota, chances are there are black bears in the vicinity since they inhabit at least half the state (including not too far north of MSP and all around Duluth). Shall we send Sheriff Lutz and the boys to erase the problem? After all, we don't want carnage out there in Duluth.

Um, Jack Hanna, you might want to look again at Zanesville, Ohio, and its surrounding area--they DID have carnage!

Yet, interestingly enough, despite the presence of this wildlife conservation center nearby (which includes cheetahs, rhinos and bison of all things), the sheriff's department never considered having tranquilizers nor was there anyone qualified to safely track, capture and safeguard these animals in the event one or more got loose? The only plan they had in place was just "Fire at will!"

What an embarrassing joke. Boss Hogg and Rosco ran a more functional sheriff's department than these yokel clowns.

The existence of this wildlife conservation center right IN this county makes what happened even more devastating. Tell me, Sheriff Lutz and other governmental officials, WHY WHY WHY did you not seek the involvement of this wildlife conservation center??? You knew that the owner of this "farm" with all these endangered animals existed. You knew he'd been arrested for animal cruelty. You also knew he'd been in a federal pen for weapons violations. There's NO good excuse for what happened today and last night. If higher level officials won't listen to you, then you go to the feds, go to the media. This is America--there were probably many officials and media people who would have listened and demanded action.

Sheriff Lutz, good luck with that re-election campaign. You are a joke--not just locally and statewide but nationally and internationally.

What if he waited, didn't kill any and they killed people in the process? What would people be saying about the guy then? Just curious about what would've occured if a kid was walking to a friends house near by and was killed by one of those animals?
I think if I had the choice of being held responsible for killing those animals or killing a kid by not killing those animals I would have shot them as well, but that is just my opinion and I don't live around there.

Jack Hanna was there and said that it was impossible for the Police to tranquilize them at night. 15 tigers si about 1% of all of the Bengal Tigers in the world. What a shame

Woulda shoulda coulda is all that can be said now! The fact is you wouldn't stake your life on those animals so he had no choice at the moment. Hopefully there might be some laws coming out of this, people have no business owning wild animals. If all the "I can do whatever I want in America" rights activist can stay out of it maybe this won't happen again.
