Bring on the snow...I'm beginning to wish I'd bought new snowshoes this year.

Looks like Tolland and Windham counties will get the worst of it, at 17 inches.

Its considered a blizzard when winds reach 35mph with heavy snow.

Thundersnow and rates at 1-3 inches per hour will cause extreme white out conditions. Luckily it will be in early morning hours when nobody is on the roads...

considering the letdown that was the Xmas blizzard, maybe we shouldn't get too excited just yet.

That was hardly a letdown for us, we got a foot of snow from that storm. I think most of Ct. will get more than enough this time around!

Let me guess, Channel 3 named the storm "Benedict"?

I really wish someone would come walk my dogs, too. The little trails I've dug around the house already look like mini-mazes the snow is so high, after this storm we might get lost in them. And none of my boots are tall enough, the snow keeps falling inside them on our walks, which leaves me a wet, shivery mess. And we still have two more months of winter to go.

Just for clarification for everyone, the rule I have made for this forum is that a spearate thread can be started outside the standard weather thread if there is going to be a significant weather event. This definitely qualifies for that so the thread will remain. Please refrain from commenting on this rule or whether there should or should not be a separate thread. JayCT, Moderator

Yeah, Middlesex didnt fair too well in that one but Fairfield 16 inches widespread and New Haven a foot did pretty good. The jackpot zone was NYC.

Middlesex county will do great with this one.. Most of CT is in the jackpot zone.
