Millions of people get their drinking water from wells and they have no problems. If you are concerned about well water problems in a particular area you are considering, contact the Health Officer in the town you are considering. He/She will be able to give you more information. Generally the only problems I have heard about from well water is the lack of flouride in it, but most dentists willgive your kids a flouride treatment to make up for it.

Interesting statistic I heard recently: for the first time in 40 years the amount of cavities in children is increasing. Detnists attribute this to the increased use of bottled water which does not contain flouride like city drinking water. Jay
