That is a different family member. This one who I have written about before, lives in Sarasota which is the fifth largest metro area in Florida with more than 800,000 people. Jay

I belong to a Facebook group of former CT residents and residents who plan to leave (there are several thousand people in it) and I find myself being the JayCT of that group. They are negative Nelly’s who constantly complain about CT, post after post, prepping for a doomsday CT collapse. I’ll try to be rational when responding to them but boy am I attacked. Jay, you don’t have it so bad here.
Oh wow. You now see why most of my posts are positive here. I try to be balanced but it is hard when you have so many screaming "The sky is falling, the sky is falling" every day. After more than 12 years of this, it grows tiring especially when there are those who never have a good or reasonable thing to say. Even worse are those who seem to delight on bad news. Glad you understand now. Jay

Another company leaving.

Lincoln National is laying off 83 employees. They are mostly well paid positions, like directors and managers. Another dent in the state’s economy.

Horrible! Several reports indicated they seriously considered moving hq also. I hope we treat that hq with kid gloves now.

Lamont era is off to awful start.

Doesn't matter. Lamont will be endorsed by the Courant and easily win re-election. It is very sad.

Let's face it: The Courant would endorse Nikita Khrushchev, Lizzie Borden or a trained seal so long as he/she/it had a (D) after his/her/its name.
